What To Do When You Have Fallen Off The Weight Loss Wagon

You did it. You made up your mind, committed to it, and you did the most difficult thing: you got started on your weight loss journey. Congratulations!

However, more lately, you seem to have missed the mark. Maybe it’s the pressure of late nights at work, it’s your birthday month, there was a wedding to attend or you simply have an unfavourable relationship with food. And as fate would have it, you’re back to square one.

But does that mean it’s the end? Absolutely not. Falling off the wagon is more common than you think. We’ve all been there – and actually, it’s abnormal if you’ve never been there!

So here’s how we look at it. It’s not about how many times youx stumble, it’s about how many times you rise back up. So here's how you can dust off the negativity, revive the focus and get back on that weight loss wagon!

Be Kind To Yourself

Now, the worst thing you can do in this situation is be hard on yourself – or worse, punish yourself. Like we established earlier, it is a fairly common occurrence – you’re human, after all! So forgive yourself, be kind to yourself, acknowledge the problem and embrace it.

You don’t want to be stuck in a loop of hating yourself for the most natural thing in the world: craving delicious food! Be kind to yourself, and the journey will be much smoother and easier in the long run.

Have Patience

You’re not going to get results overnight, and you already knew that. Often, people don’t see immediate results and embark on a self-sabotaging journey. Please avoid that.

Have patience. If not today, tomorrow, and if not tomorrow, the day after, the results will follow. Trust the process. Keep the faith, in the programme and in yourself!

Set Clear Goals

Weight loss for the sake of losing weight is unhealthy. You need to have a goal. It’s important to have a plan that helps you get there. Whether it’s through a programme, the kind of diet you are on or even a vision board – all of this will help you stay focused on your goal and ensure you don’t keep falling off the wagon every now and then.

Find Your Support System

As someone who helps people do this for a living, I can say very confidently that it’s difficult to do this without the right kind of support and positive environment. So ensure there are people who will keep encouraging you to stay on this path, especially when you stumble.

That’s where my MSF Membership can help you too. In addition to providing you with a customized diet and workout plan, you will also get weekly check-ins, complete guidance, constant motivation and my never ending support, so that your journey of being healthy doesn’t stop and you know you have someone who has your back! Lastly? Just Do It.

The only way to do it, is to do it. Yes, you fell off the wagon – it’s in the past. What’s done is done, but we are more concerned about the future. You’ve been on this path before, and you have achieved results – so just put on those shoes, step out, get back on track, knowing that a healthier, happier version of you awaits at the finish line!
